No throwing candy from moving vehicles or floats. For safety, candy and promotional items must be distributed by walking individuals and passed out to the crowd — not left on the street. Droppings must be removed from "behind" animal entries. Animals must be under control except during approved safety demonstrations.

Participant Release

In consideration of acceptance of the right to participate, entrants and participants, by execution of the entry form, release and discharge The Gridley Red Suspenders Committee, Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce, The City of Gridley and their officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, and anyone else connected in any way with the management or representation of the Red Suspenders Day celebration and from all known and unknown damages, injuries, losses, judgements, and/or claims from any cause whatsoever that may be suffered by an entrant to his person or property. Further, each entrant expressly agrees to indemnity of the foregoing entities, persons and bodies from any and all liability occasioned or resulting from conduct of entrants, or any participant assisting or cooperating entrants, under the direction or control of entrant.

Event is Rain or Shine. No Refunds. Fees and completed application must be received by May 4, 2026 for early pricing. Late fees apply after May 4, 2026.

Booth Details

Food Vendors: You MUST obtain a Butte County Food Permit and provide a copy to the Chamber before the event.

Space Selection

Early pricing applies (application & fee received by May 4, 2026).

Only two (2) small appliances permitted. You must provide your own power strips/cords.

Vendor Agreement

The following must be read and agreed to in order to participate in the Red Suspenders Day event.

Agreement 1 — Booth Hours & Prohibited Items: I agree to operate a booth from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026. I will NOT sell any of the following items: Blasting Caps, Gun(s) of any type, Knives, Lighters, Firecrackers, Stink Bombs, Empty Balloons, X-Rated or Adult-themed Items, Silly String, or any kind of Drugs or Drug Paraphernalia. If these items or anything else not appropriate for a public family outing is discovered being offered/sold, I agree that I will be asked to leave the event immediately and will not receive a refund of any kind.
Agreement 2 — Electrical Appliances: I agree that I will NOT bring any Large Electrical Appliances. I understand that only two (2) Small Appliances are permitted and I must provide my own electrical power strips/cords.
Agreement 3 — Liability: I agree that the Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce, its members, nor the City of Gridley shall be held liable for any damages, theft of items displayed, or personal injury incurred. As the applicant, I assume all risks incurred and will carry my own liability insurance. My signature comprises all persons for my booth space. I understand that this application is for space only to set up my booth and the event will be Rain or Shine.
