The Small Town that Loves Company”

SANTA CLAUS is coming to Town!!!!

The holidays are here! Your Gridley Fire and Police Departments used their contacts at the North pole, along with a little Christmas magic, to invite Santa to Gridley for a special tour of our town. He is graciously taking time out of his busy holiday schedule to ride our very own Gridley Fire Engine through the city to bring extra holiday cheer to our community. Santa would like to see everyone and will be traveling through the city over four separate evenings. The areas (see map) and times will be posted on http// the times are subject to change because of weather or emergencies. If needed, Santa will do his best to reschedule and those times will be posted on the above website. Santa understands that the safety of our community is of the upmost importance to us and while he has been successful at keeping the elves socially distanced all year long he has requested that we take the same precautions during his visit. Santa will bypass areas with any large gatherings or where social distancing is not being practiced. A great way to see Santa safely would be to lay some cozy blankets in your driveway, brew up some hot cocoa, wave to your neighbors from a safe distance while waiting for his arrival! It will be no secret when Santa will be there, just listen for the magic. Santa is going to make every attempt to drive down every street in the city limits and a few roads just outside. (see map).

Since that fateful day of the Paradise #Campfire, November 8th, 2018, the businesses, service organizations, and residents young and old jumped in to help our neighbors in need. We know the months have passed, but the need is still there and we are just as dedicated to helping now as we were then.To this effect we have open and maintained a Fire Survivor Distribution center in town. It is located at 893 Hazel Street in downtown Gridley. It offers clothing, bedding, and living necessities to those displaced by the Camp Fire.

The City of Gridley has also stepped forward to help our Neighbors in Need by working with FEMA to on a site to place 350 temporary housing trailers for those still displaced by the Fire. For the City of Gridley’s Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page you can find it here:
