• Platinum Level Sponsorship $400 or more includes: Advertisement for your Business or Organization on ALL Chamber related Facebook pages, Instagram and website. Logo on the RSD banner, as well as recognition announcement during the Parade. One Free Entry in the Parade, and a free Vendor Spot.

Red Suspenders Day began in 1961 as a dance to raise revenue for the volunteer firemen of Gridley. It’s now a community-wide celebration spanning two days of family fun and events. Friday May 20th is Unjustic court. Saturday is RSD Pancake breakfast, RSD Parade & Street faire, Car show, Vendors, Food Trucks, Live music, Fireman games.

2023 schedule of events

Unjustice Court. Nominate your favorite person to be “jailed” in Rotary Park Friday May 20th until they raise enough money to make bail. Arrest warrants will be available online and at the Chamber Office for free. They can be filled out before or the day of the court. “Offenders” will be arrested by either the Volunteer Police or the Fire Department and brought to Rotary Park to stand before Judge Rodney Harr and Bailiff/clerk Lynne Spencer (Chamber President)  They will be sentenced, jailed and fed Pizza and drinks, They will have to arrange for their bail to be paid before they can be discharged. The amount depends on the “seriousness” of the charge and the ability to pay. People are allowed to come photograph their friends and/or relatives behind bars. booking photos will be posted on Chambers FB  Red suspenders page and web page.

Guns ‘n’ Hoses Softball game May 19th at Vierra Park for softball Friday night starting at 6 PM. Come and watch our local Cal-Firefighters play against our Local Gridley Police dept. Come with the family enjoy a meal with a food truck and watch the game. Home Run Derby during the night to benefit a local charity. 

Saturday morning at 7 AM, the Little League, Masonic Lodge, and the Knights of Columbus bring out the griddles for the finest Pancake Breakfast anywhere

Classic cars will be on display from 8 AM -1 PM downtown at Kentucky Street & Hazel Streets. Sponsored by Gridley Chamber, there will be cars, trucks, and motorcycles in the show. Vendors over 100 vendors  crafts, gifts, and services will be downtown all day Saturday from 8 AM – 3 PM. Vendors need to arrive to set up between 6-7 AM.  Food Trucks Come have lunch with us located in three parks

The parks will be buzzing with games, rides, a bounce house, games for kids, from 8 AM -3 pm PM. Live music in Daddow Park. three parks filled with vendors.

The Bed Races are Saturday on Virginia Street in front of Daddow Park. Wanna run in the fun. fix up an old bed and get a team together, contact Zach Torres at Gridley chamber for more information 530 846-3142

The Parade begins downtown Saturday morning at 11:00am,  Prizes for best entry in the parade are awarded, and winners posted at the Chamber office at 890 Hazel Street. This year we are offering Cash Prizes! 

Firemen’s Games and tests of strength and endurance between Gridley and Cal-Fire’s finest start Saturday at 1pm on the West Side of Rotary Park.

The Gridley Museum Tri-Tip dinner ends the day from 4-7 PM with a fine meal for a good cause. Outdoor seating and take out available.
